MP 2.63.6
Double-clicking any attachment 'runs' it here, under Win XP. Those whose filetypes are on the Tools -> Options -> Safe extensions list get run immediately whereas others are subject to a confirmation that they should be run first.
Right-click on an attachment also offers SaveAs and Properties, so at least there's some control.
I'd have thought this request could be closed. |

I think this originally referred to the Linux version where the mapping between file types and applications may not be as well defined as under Windows. Gemini/MPro does look for a mailcap file which defines this mapping, and if one is found then the file should be opened rather than saved.
John, are any changes still required here?

I'm not on Linux any more for Gemini but Mac OSX, so I don't know what the current behaviour is like there. (You're both right that it was Linux where there was a problem - OSX and, presumably, Windows, handle file launch better.) I guess this could be closed if no one else has a problem with this any more. |
