MP 2.63.6.3212 Qt 4.6.2 Win XP Pro
(This is probably a long-standing issue.)
I just did a search of a group for a particular phrase in the messages. Once the results list was displayed I double-clicked one of them.
It would have been nice if the searched-for text was highlighted (but that's a frill). More to the point when I did Edit -> Find text, I manually retyped the search string. I see now that there's a drop-down that's (now) populated with the values I've entered in 'Find text', but not those entered in any of the fields on the search panel.
After finding stuff in that message, I closed its display and went on to the next message. F3 for repeat find didn't work. Bearing in mind that I was going to have to look at all the messages the Search had found, manually redefining the find argument for each is going to be a pain. I know it'll be on the drop-down, but I still have to redefine the find (using the drop-down) every time. It'd be better if the find argument didn't get cleared (if it has to at all) until the user re-starts a new find operation - and even then I'd say the drop-down should still show the most recently used argument as its default value.
