Summary 0000218: add 'search' or 'none' tab in filters dialog
Description MP 2.63.6.3212 Qt 4.6.2 Win XP Pro

I've a few filter definitions I only use for advanced searches. Until recently they've been defined as "when receiving mail", but had the disabled flag set on them so they wouldn't accidentally get used. I just realised it's more sensible to untick "when receiving mail" so none of the 6 explicit circumstances are set, and also untick "disabled" for these.

Of course I generally have to edit them before I use any, but the ones I store in the filter defs have at least the outlines of typical search filters.

The thing is, the search template filters, having none of the 6 basic types ticked, only show up in the 'All' tab; it occurred to me that having a 'Search' or 'None' (meaning none of the 6 types are ticked) tab would be useful to be able to locate them more quickly.

Ah I think I've found a bug as well...

I defined a filter with none of the 6 types ticked, a simple 'contains' test on a subject header, and an action to colour the messages white.

I ran it against the contents of one folder, starting the search from within the display of the folder's contents (though doing it from the all-groups view is the same). Search itself shows a few of the mails being found, but when I exit from the folder's view and go back in, nothing has changed colour.

None of the messages are locked.

I enabled logging on the filter and tried again. The log file correctly shows the filters matching some mails and not others.

..and another filter with an action of 'move messages to (a folder)' also doesn't actually do so when invoked from search
