Summary 0000090: usability of dialogs where long lists of things are shown
Description In those dialogs that present ordered lists of values, particularly Tools -> Filters (I can't remember if there are other similar ones?), new items are always added at the end. Getting them to the required position is tedious.

I have around 150 filters at the moment, and often that means around 120 clicks on the "Move up" button are required. I'd like to ask for, say, "Move to top", "Move to bottom", "Move up 10", "Move down 10", or something more genral like "Move to position ??".

 V2.65.2 adds Move Up 10 and Move Down 10 to the filter window. Is this sufficient?

 I've now got 270 filters defined. The biggest list by far is 'incoming mail' ones, of which there are 220. Move up/down by 10 will make a huge difference, but it will still take 20 or so clicks to get a new definition up to the top of the list... Of course not every new filter needs moved as high as that.

How complicated would it be to have an additional parameter which dictates the step size - perhaps on a 'spin' control (if that's what you call the control with a pair of bump arrows?). If step could be set to - say - 10/15/20/25/30/35/40/45/50 it would be quite quick to change the step value and quick to apply it.

 I've just replaced Move Up/Down 10 by Move Up/Down By which prompts for the number of places to move.
